fallen faces

near the ever changing flow of water
performing scientific displays of motion
when frozen in time
like a voice from the face
of the creek spirit yet to come
one leaf cries
wait for me
and so the mind decides
to isolate the passing

based on the notion of underlying faces everywhere
when the despair in the face found cast away
cried to be identified

instinct driven composition
puts perspective askew
so the mind can try
to make it right

at a wall

the first snowfall to stick on the elephant's back

carpeted because the leaf
will not fall far from the tree

obstacles like bricks in the wall
impeding progress are overcome
when perception sees through
deception

if the writing on the wall
was on the water instead
then the literal expression
of the essence of it
would be apparent

set as arranged

It's been awhile since bob has appeared

around and round we go
where we look wherever we know
there will be the flow

just a minute who's in charge here

watched and waited for the plane to split the sky
in the place where balance would seem to be
yet indecision and speed made the choice for me

arranged inside the only mind
capable of perceiving
this landscape given
an expression of eye
alignment as vision

do I bring attention without intention to the lines or do the lines with intention bring my attention to them

in contrast

a tray to catch rain one red leaf alone against brown serves up contrast

divided by a line that brings forth the change of colour as a subject of interest

there was a sound here that served as an echo of inspiration caught in passing too quickly that left a reminder to return to hear the full orchestra as one single circle in a surround of enigmatic symbols curled as moss
