for the love of

Never pretend to a love which you do not actually feel, for love is not ours to command.
- Alan Watts

There are some sixteen million colours to choose from and purple in all its various hues is one of the more pleasant in this eye.

As though pink were somehow inclined to be purple but for the fiery red temper boiling within, some tree spreads so brief a floral display then fades it away.

Boxed into a linear logical world the scientific mind seeks the freedom it can find when it does the thinking outside the castle of opinions and prejudice.

With one eye on the abstract the distribution of the flow is calculated to go in three directions at once.

Like the sundial designed to show the time it's only a a certain moment in the day that the sun makes the rock smile.

Even shadowed the familiar pattern of flower like haunting refrain brings the memory of pain the strings as lines sing a sad song.

Alive in the spring light the shadows grow substance and smile a little differently each day.

*sigh*...the colors are beautiful, Dave. Our cherry tree is blooming now and has a wonderful array of color all around it.

The rock makes me smile. It reminds me of a moment trapped in time.
