purple vortex shimmer

Poetry is just the evidence of life. If your life is burning well, poetry is just the ash.
- Leonard Cohen (1934 - )

The colour blue has a spin within its weave of threads that keeps the suspended attraction even more mysterious to any fool enough to venture within the 'cup'.

Personified by the way the lines in the flower petals bring a life to the skin that glows when sunlight passes through.

There will be more of this flower, or one of its nearby friends. I find it extremely intriguing. At night or before full sunlight hits it, the leaves are curled into a tight cluster. It doesn't look at all the same in any of the various stages of its opening. Like a temptress this purple vortex shimmers and sprinkles magic dust bread crumbs to lead the way in.

I have seen the inner eye before it manifested as an orb to interpret the world with and it held a reflection of everything trapped in a time bubble waiting to burst into a retinal display of the universe as eye saw it.

Back to the beginning when everything was circular in motion, shape, formation and intent and the balance was never in question until the circle tried to squeeze inside the rectangle.

Placed as precisely as if drawn, the collection of the elements lent itself to a balance only conceived in a random placement of a frame looking for a place to set focus.

To make a mountain out of an old hill it is only necessary to find a pattern to simulate the sky and let the automatic eye create monuments of temporality able to be moved with a single breath.

As I said yesterday, his first in a long time. Known for his writing and his music, Leonard Cohen is one of the legendary artists of our time. Book of Longing is his new collection of poetry and contains Cohen's own line drawings. His highly acclaimed 1984, Book of Mercy, was his last book of new work published. Book of Longing is long awaited.
