rain ripples

There's not many left that aren't just hangers-on clinging to the season, faded and marred by insects or time.

Muted shades of red and yellow hide the house on the hill

yellow paint sunlight
simulates cloud break
moment of illumination

confusion in random precision
lines define empty space
as opposed to their own shape

headed for warmer weather

raindrop effect ripples lose identity as they spread, yet remain the essence of the rain, caught in a cycle of states of expression, eternally changing into the same thing over again, never in possession of a name that identifies all
